Watch President Obama's historic speech in Selma for 'Bloody Sunday' anniversary

U.S. President Barack Obama spoke to a crowd of thousands in Selma, Alabama, on Saturday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, a historic civil rights march from Selma to Montgomery led by Martin Luther King Jr. in 1965.


During his historic speech, Obama praised King and other civil rights leaders who fought for equal rights in the face of oppression and violence.


"There are places and moments in America where this nation’s destiny has been decided," he said. "Selma is such a place."
