A forest in England is banning fairy doors

LONDON — A fairy eviction is underway in an English forest.


The trustees of Wayford Woods in Somerset are cracking down on the miniature or "fairy" doors attached to tree trunks in the forest



Children have been attaching the special doors to trees for the past 15 years because they believe they'll give fairies a way to relocate to the forest. However, it's now gotten out of control, with some trees bedecked with up to 10 doors


"It's a very complex situation, and nobody's admitting that they're evicting the fairies," trustee Steven Acreman told the BBC. "It's just that fairy control is required, otherwise we'd be covered in fairy doors." Read more...
